Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. To see quotes, the tool needs your gender, birthday, general health status, tobacco use, desired coverage and desired term. That's all. Your name, full address and detailed health history are only gathered if you proceed to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They're the rates each carrier quoted for the class you specified. The carrier sets your final rate after underwriting reviews your health, which can confirm, upgrade or change your tier. Quotes on this site are for comparison only and are not insurance offers or pricing guarantees.

What happens when I click Apply?

You provide your name, and the application is created from the exact quote you selected, then continues on the carriers' secure application site. You can stop and return later, and you authorize everything electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agency (License 0B75129), manages applications.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, your coverage amount and your answers. Many carriers using accelerated underwriting can decide the same day for people who qualify; each quote shows whether the carrier expects an exam, might request one, or doesn't expect one.

Is a longer term better?

A term should protect against the years when someone would hurt financially if you died: an unpaid mortgage, growing kids, business loans. Longer terms cost more per month but keep the rate fixed longer. The tool lets you easily evaluate 10-, 15-, 20-, 25- and 30-year choices side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool never captures your contact info, we don't sell or trade your data, and our measurement doesn't use cookies. Head to the privacy section for complete details on what's gathered and by whom.
